Helmholtz Zentrum Rossendurf (HZDR link) , a well-known research center in Dresden/Germany founded in 1992 and focuses on energy, and health, is hosting a group of 20 undergraduate petroleum engineering students of the University of Zakho to partake in a two week training program titled "Iraqi-German Partnership on Multiphase Flow Research and Training (IGP-Multiflow)" from 25-08-2017 to 08-09-2017 which will be focused primarily on multiphase flow measurement techniques. The entire program and students’ facilitations will be covered and sponsored by DAAD project (for more information on DAAD, see the link : link .

The students will have an informative training and gain experiences on multiphase flow measurement techniques during a number of seminars which will be given by experts, professors and PhD students of HZDR. They will be also visiting the laboratories of the institute and other related industrial companies. It is worth mentioning that last year, too, HZDR had trained another group of 32 students from College of Engineering / the University of Zakho .( see this link: link) It is hoped that such training courses will foster our mutual research relations with overseas universities and centers and at the same time expand the horizons of our students and betterment of their fields of study.
